Located in the Valley of Sun in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, GCU is a regionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University.
Coordinates the production and technical functions for GCU’s worship services, e.g., Chapel, The Gathering, Sanctuary, and other special events for GCU students. A significant element of these worship services is to train and develop Worship Production Student Leaders in the areas of audio, visual, and lighting production (students who want hands-on experience in the areas of Worship Arts and Production).
What you will do:
Execute the vision and mission of Department of Spiritual Life initiatives.
Assist the Worship Team Manager in planning and developing worship services, special projects and events, marketing strategies, and technical training.
Responsible for ensuring flawless execution of the production elements (audio, visual, lighting) of worship services and special events through directing Production Student Leaders during the live sessions/events.
Participate in the interviewing and selection process of Production Student Leaders.
Produce and maintain training content in collaboration with management, coordinates training schedules and/or delivers training for Production Student Leaders throughout the school year.
Develop and maintain various reports such as chapel attendance, monitoring GPA requirements, etc., pertaining to Production Student Leaders.
Coordinate effective and regular communication to all stakeholders through various mediums.
Provide advice, counseling, and mentorship to Production Student Leaders
Support the overall mission of the Department of Spiritual Life and GCU with the Worship Team ministry, integrating these student leaders into Chapel and other events in ways that provide opportunity for service and ministry.
Other duties as assigned.
What you need:
Bachelor’s degree preferred (ministry and/or production related degree from a regionally accredited institution).
3-5 years worship production experience; preferably with college students in a ministry or academic setting.
Demonstrated experience with mentoring college students, planning and producing student events.
Demonstrate knowledge of live sound production, visual production, and lighting production.
Must work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Must pass pre-employment background investigations
