Welcome Programs - Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Grand Canyon University’s Department of Welcome Programs is seeking a full time Marketing & Communications Coordinator. The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating a variety of marketing and communication programs that will facilitate the orientation and transition process for incoming students.
Develop and coordinate marketing and communication efforts (e.g. video, written copy, social media, promotional items) pertaining to new student orientation and transition programs.
Recruit, train, and mentor a team of student leaders in the use of social media platforms and other marketing efforts on behalf of the department.
Review and edit a variety of media and marketing content with a high level of attention to detail.
Provide artistic direction and occasional design for a variety of marketing efforts in order to reach goal demographic.
Maintain brand standards and ensure consistency across campaigns.
Maintain and expand knowledge of marketing practices, processes, and relevant trends.
Track and maintain lists for relevant communications and programs.
Collect and analyze data through a variety of means (e.g., surveys, focus groups) to provide feedback for management in assessing the effectiveness of student leadership activities.
Assist in day-of coordination of New Student Orientation, Orientation Groups, Welcome Week, Spring Welcome and other programs.
Assist with the mentorship of student leaders and provide direction for program responsibilities and tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required from a regionally accredited institution, preferably in marketing or communications.
1-year experience in marketing-related role.
Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must work varying schedules including evenings, holidays, and weekends when necessary.
Must be able to pass pre-employment background investigation.
