Grand Canyon University's Welcome Programs is seeking an Events and Logistics Coordinator. In this role you will plan and execute event logistics for large initiatives including Welcome Week, Lopes Out, New Student Orientation, Spring Welcome, and Family Weekend. You will coordinate events, initiatives, and programs to engage incoming students and assist them in preparing for campus life. This role oversees staffing and the volunteer management process including recruitment, scheduling, day-of management, and debrief. You will lead planning and organizing event meetings to obtain information, activities, and details for specific events. The use of Microsoft Excel or other relevant platforms to track and maintain lists containing staffing and relevant event logistics is important. You will facilitate collaborative efforts with campus partners and vendors; maintaining and expanding knowledge of relevant systems, platforms, and resources to aid in managing and facilitating organizational details.
Location: Main Campus, Building 4
Schedule: Onsite Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm

What you will do:

What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 2-years’ experience in event-planning role which requires high volume contact with customers, preferably in an education setting, interacting with students and parents.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules including evenings, holidays, and weekends when necessary
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University
