Course: Sports and Entertainment Marketing

This course is a study of basic marketing concepts with applications to sports and entertainment organizations. Topics include advertising promotions and public relations, consumer behavior, market segmentation, fan loyalty, strategic market planning, brand communications, branding vs. marketing, and sponsorship.

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

What You Will Bring:

  • Preferred: PhD/DBA Marketing or Doctorate in a related business discipline with emphasis in sports and/or entertainment management.
  • Minimum: Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or other Masters in Business with emphasis in sports and/or entertainment management AND
    • minimum of five years of relevant industry experience.
