Grand Canyon University's Spiritual Life department is currently seeking a Global Outreach Ministry Coordinator. This position is responsible for coordination of all efforts of the recruitment, training, development, scheduling, and administrative process details to ensure successful execution of the Global Outreach programs.

  • Support and execute the vision and mission of the Global Outreach program, as well as the greater Department of Spiritual life initiatives. 

  • Assist the Global Outreach Manager in planning, developing, and implementing special projects, service projects, marketing strategies, speaking engagements and similar responsibilities as necessary. 

  • Participate in the interviewing and selection process for students for the Global Outreach programs. Assist in developing training content, coordinating training schedules and/or delivering training for student leaders throughout the school year. 

  • Oversee weekly student led ministries including, but not limited to: Refugee ministries, Global Awareness Events, and Global Service and Learning Trips. Develop and maintain various reports such as chapel attendance, monitoring GPA requirements, etc. pertaining to global outreach student leaders. 

  • Develop and maintain Global Outreach partnerships. 

  • Coordinate all details of ministry efforts within the local community through partnership with GCU City Serve. 

  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees 3-6 Global Outreach programs.

  • Provide advice, counseling, and mentoring to Global Outreach Ministry Student Leaders.


  • Bachelor’s Degree (Global Missions ministry-related program from a regionally accredited institution preferred).

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • 1-3 years’ ministry experience, preferably with college students or within a higher-education institution.

  • Demonstrated experience with mentoring college students, planning and leading student events and communication.

  • Must work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

  • Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

  • Must pass pre-employment background investigations.
