The College of Engineering & Technology is looking for a Senior Administrative Support.  This position provides high-level administrative and project management leadership support to the College of Engineering & Technology executive and senior leadership team, ensuring efficient operation. This role is pivotal in enabling leadership to focus on strategic initiatives by managing day-to-day tasks, overseeing complex schedules, leading complex projects, facilitating communication, and handling confidential information with discretion. This position acts as a liaison between the executive team and internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the seamless execution of aligning with the university's educational mission.

Please note, that the Senior Administrative Support, College of Engineering & Technology position is located at our main campus in Phoenix, AZ.

What you will do:

  • Coordinate critical work processes and projects for the College of Engineering & Technology.

  • Provide administrative support to college senior leadership, including managing calendars, travel arrangements, and event/meeting logistics.

  • Handle sensitive information with the highest discretion and integrity.

  • Prepare complex documents, reports, and presentations.

  • Conduct research and gather information as requested by senior leadership.

  • Assist with budget tracking, financial reporting, and processing orders and invoices.

  • Provide daily updates to leadership regarding events, schedule changes, and daily operational matters.

  • Represent college interests at university meetings and assure full compliance with university policies and procedures. 

  • Interpret and review policies and procedures related to administrative operations; assess complex operational issues to determine financial and organizational impact.

  • Promote compliance and manage risk/issue/opportunity in accordance with the policies of the university, college, and other oversight bodies. 

  • Implement internal controls and effective business practices and perform quality reviews to ensure compliance. 

  • Receive and reconcile receipts, statements, invoices as needed.

  • Serve as primary contact for student and industry visitors to senior leadership; ensure guests are welcomed and visits are well-coordinated. 

  • Actively engage with CET social media presence and GCU/GCE organizations for social media coverage.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you need:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in administrative capacity for large department/function.

  • An equivalent combination of work experience and education/training may be substituted upon supervisor’s approval.

  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
