Do you have a passion for ensuring cleanliness and utilize commercial grade cleaning equipment? Grand Canyon University's Janitorial Cleaning Services Department is seeking a part time repair tech.  The Repair tech is responsible for investigating problems with the janitorial machinery and making repairs accordingly. Their duties include communicating with manager/and or operator to discuss the concerns, carrying out routine maintenance procedures and replacing parts to promote their functionality.

What you will do:

• Adhere to safety and security procedures and determines the appropriate action beyond guidelines and reports unsafe conditions to management.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Perform janitorial machine assessments and repairs.

• Complete vacuum, power washer, rider blower, side by side rotary scrubbing machines, carpet extractors, maintenance.

• Order parts, schedule service, and maintain inventory.

• Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.

• Ability to find a solution for issues/obstacles in completing work that aligns with best practice maintenance repair; ability to determine when issue needs to be elevated to management to resolve.

• Other duties as assigned.

What you will need:

• High school diploma, or equivalent.

• Some trade school/training is preferred.

• Experience in repair/maintenance preferred.

• Must be able to pass pre-employment background investigation.

• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
