Job Description
Located in the Valley of Sun in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, Grand Canyon University is a regionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University. This role provides support to the College of Engineering & Technology at Grand Canyon University to ensure the smooth operation of the college and effective collaboration across the university. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day college functions and coordinating activities, functions, tasks, processes of a designated program, project, purpose or focus of varying complexity to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with established specifications, e.g., time limitations, funding limitations or any other requirements.
What you will do:
Provide office management assistance.
Develop and manage multiple project expectations with key stakeholders and see projects through to completion.
Handle sensitive and highly confidential information and documents with complete discretion.
Monitor mail (electronic and hard copy); identify and properly direct documents.
Screen incoming calls and correspondence and respond independently when possible.
Provide administrative support such as reports, database files, spreadsheets, agendas, and minutes for various meetings.
Assist with University-wide event planning and execution.
Record minutes of all department meetings.
Act as primary liaison with other departments and maintain relationships to ensure the department is seen as a collaborative and responsive partner.
Understand GCU policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Other duties as assigned.
What you need:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college.
Must pass background investigation.
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
