Course: Photography and Video for Social Media

In this course, students learn web design production and development. Web layouts, style, artistic quality, performance, navigation, and accessibility are explored in the development of websites using HTML and CSS. The focus of the course is to develop a core foundation in HTML and CSS, with an understanding of JavaScript.

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions while incorporating innovative teaching strategies.
  • Engage students in cutting-edge technologies and industry trends.
  • Assess student performance and mentor classroom success to prepare them for their chosen career path.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

What You Will Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Video Production, Advertising, Graphic Design, Journalism, Multimedia Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a closely related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in designing, creating, and producing written, visual, photographic, and video content tailored for social media platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including both desktop and mobile app versions.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant industry experience.
