Course: 21st Century Skills: Critical Thinking and Problem Solving

This course gives students an introduction to skills of critical thinking and decision making. It provides students opportunities to evaluate the influence and value of these skills in their personal, academic, and professional lives. Emphasis is placed on perception, emotion, fallacious reasoning, and communication.

What You Will Do:

• Provide program instruction, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline.
• Maintain compliance with requirements for program accreditation.
• Participate in and/or support of the university program in all areas including an evident congruence with the philosophy and direction of the institution, and service to the community.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

• PhD in Philosophy (Preferred) OR
• Master’s in Philosophy OR
  • Psychology OR
  • Rhetoric OR
  • Education OR
  • Communications
• Exceptions may be granted to individuals with a Master’s in any field possessing 9 graduate credits in Philosophy and substantial teaching experience
• Preference will be given to individuals with Doctorates
