• Instruction for our Fall Semester begins on September 2, 2025, and ends on December 14, 2025 - Final Course Grades are due on December 21, 2025

Course: Media Theory

This course provides students with an overview of media effects and the complex relationship of media producers and users (audiences). Students examine the role of media and media messages in both traditional and new media platforms, learning about different forms of storytelling to influence audiences.
 

What You Will Do:

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
• Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
• Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

*Teaching Experience Required

• Preferred: PhD in Communication
• Minimum: Master's Communication AND coursework in Media Theory
• Exceptions may be granted to individuals with a Master's in any field possessing either: 18 graduate credits in Communications AND coursework in Media Theory
