GCU Traditional Campus - Phoenix, AZ:

  • Courses are in-person and on-campus for the Spring 2026 Semester (01/05/2025 - 04/26/2025)

Course: Materials and Microscopy & Lab

This course teaches fundamental concepts of materials science as they apply to electric, magnetic, thermal, and optical properties. Students will study topics such as crystal structure, carrier transport, and solid-state physics. Laboratory exercises may focus on microscopy techniques and electro-plating. 

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

  • Minimum: Masters in engineering discipline with experience in microscopy and electronic properties of materials.
  • Preferred: Industry experience.
