Shape the bright futures of Grand Canyon University students as a full time Physics Faculty member for the traditional ground campus in the College of Natural Sciences. Through hands-on, project-based learning, the college provides an outlet for innovation and cross-disciplinary exposure. It features programs in Biology, Forensic Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Chemistry, and Exercise Science.
Physics Faculty in the College of Natural Sciences will normally teach 4-5 undergraduate sections per term and provide student support and service to the College and University.

What you will do:
Cultivate a supportive classroom environment to facilitate student learning
Assist students outside classroom hours
Prepare students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession
Provide for the mentorship of our highly diverse student body
Have the opportunity to participate in faculty-driven research projects coupled to undergraduate student training
Participate in curriculum design & development as needed
Assist the Dean in developing internal and external communities that promote the major field of study, college, and University
Provide leadership to adjunct faculty
Actively support the college/university mission and initiatives
Participate on college and/or university committees as assigned
Actively engage in professional development activities
Comply with all college and University policies
What you need:
Master’s degree in physics, or a closely related field with defined graduate-level Physics coursework
Minimum two years’ teaching at collegiate level required or extensive industry knowledge may be substituted based upon the dean’s approval.
Specialized knowledge of discipline areas may be required.
Evidence of involvement in one’s professional area (e.g., membership in professional organizations, presentations, research and/or publications).
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
