The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions is seeking a full-time faculty member for the Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders (BS-CSD) program, that launched in Fall 2024. As a full-time Faculty member, you will provide program instruction incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline.
The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching courses within the BS-CSD program and supporting the program lead in further developing this new academic offering. You will collaborate with department leadership to refine courses, implement program policies and procedures, and contribute to program development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building upon the foundation of our exceptional program and take pride in creating a nurturing educational environment that allows students to thrive.
Additionally, you may have the opportunity to support the upcoming Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MS-SLP) program that is currently in development and planned for future launch
Location: The role is located at our main campus- 33rd and Camelback in Phoenix, Arizona
Schedule: 12-month, full-time benefits eligible. Hybrid schedule. Opportunity for clinical practice release.

What you will do:
Deliver instruction to students.
Stimulate class discussions.
Provide students with feedback on examinations and assignments.
Remain current with new trends and developments in his/her field of expertise.
Participate in activities that support the development of the program.
Maintain a course load consistent with university's definition of full-time status (80-100 students).
What you need:
Applicants must have earned a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related area.
Applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: child developmental language, speech sound disorders and/or phonology, motor speech disorders, hearing-related communication disorders, and training/supervising SLPAs.
Active, current, unencumbered, unrestricted SLP license and ASHA CCC-SLP are required. Eligibility for Arizona state licensure.
Evidence of involvement in one’s professional area (i.e., membership in professional organizations, presentations, research, and /or publications).
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Experience as a clinical instructor/clinical supervisor and experience in working with healthcare systems.
