Are you a forward thinker and confident working on changing motion-based technologies? Grand Canyon University’s College of Arts and Media is looking for an exploratory Events Coordinator who will help facilitate activities and performances.  This candidate will utilize organizational technology to ensure the goals of departments are met.

What you will do: 

  • Responsible for planning and organizing the activities and performances of the College of Arts and Media and ensuring the operational infrastructure is in place.

  • Reviews departmental needs and expectations and determines most effective means of execution of specific duties to ensure goals are met in a timely fashion.

  • Partners and collaborates with various internal contacts, or customers, to coordinate activities, promote and encourage cooperation for process improvement.

  • Remains current with organizational technology to ensure processes, data, etc., are implemented in the most efficient manner.

  • Creates and maintains all communication materials, templates and social media sites for department which serve the purpose of informing all stakeholders in departments initiatives, activities, and progress.

  • Inputs and maintains data into various software applications such as MS Excel, internal databases, websites, social media or scheduling software.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (business, education, social science, etc.) from a regionally accredited institution.

  • 2 years’ administrative professional work experience.

  • An equivalent combination of directly-related work experience and education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may be substituted upon supervisor’s approval.

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check

  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
