Purpose within the Organization:
This position will assist the Esports Director in the general monthly operations of the GCU Esports Events, ensuring that appropriate event support is maintained throughout the year for both student life initiatives as well as supporting the Esports Director's initiatives.

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

  • Management and planning of all GCU Esports sanctioned community, competitive, and intercollegiate events on a monthly basis.
  • Point of contact for all event requests by Competitive/Community Leads, Leadership, and GCU Administration.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with GCU event policies and procedures.
  • Interacting and presenting the affiliated GCU Esports club information to both visitors and regular campus tours.
  • Assisting the Esports Director in requested tasks which can include but not be limited to Event Planning, Live Operations of events, social media management, and acting as a liaison to the GCU Esports club.


Qualifications:

  • Sociable and amicable - applicants must be able to greet students and other guests entering the facility and engage in prolonged conversations.
  • Responsible - applicants should be capable of working independently as needed and make suitable judgements to best assist the Arena and the student body using the facility.
  • Preference towards applicants with prior or current involvement in esports or has knowledge about the video game industry, culture, and trends.
  • Preference towards applicants with availability to work from 11AM to 3PM on weekdays.
  • Preference towards applicants with availability to work during the weekends.

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s program or master’s program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a bachelor’s-level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master’s-level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the university.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
