The Office of Academic Compliance and Regulation is seeking an experienced, confident Director of State Compliance. Under the leadership and direction of the Vice-Provost, this position will provide management and direction for institutional compliance with state and federal regulations surrounding postsecondary education, licensure, and state reciprocity agreements for states. We are especially interested in applicants who can strengthen the diversity of our academic community and integrate faith.
Location: Main Campus, 33rd and Camelback
What you will do:
- Manage the submission of applications, documents, and reports to meet state and federal requirements.
- Conduct and interpret research, and oversee employees conduct and interpret research, of state requirements to provide support to Colleges and students.
- Provide leadership and expertise for University programs that lead to licensure and certification and responds to inquiries for planning and enrollment purposes.
- Oversee state compliance system technology to ensure information is dispersed accurately and timely to the GCU website, student enrollment agreements, and direct disclosure.
- Coordinate and prepare University reporting on compliance in all postsecondary education, licensure, and state reciprocity agreements for states.
- Develop and manage communication and training for University staff and University partner staff, acting on behalf of the University, to ensure accurate information, particularly for programs leading to licensure and certification.
- Coordinate with the Colleges and University Office of Academic Records to ensure alignment and compliance for new and revised Academic Programs.
What you need:
- Master’s Degree required from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years of increasing responsibility and work experience with regulatory or compliance area of organization. Experience in higher education preferred.
- Confident leader with effective management skills with ability to promote cooperation and commitment from staff to obtain goals and deliverables.
- Excellent planning and project management skills and ability to successfully management multiple projects.
- Advanced skills using technology and software applications.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking capabilities.
