The College of Engineering and Technology at Grand Canyon University is looking for a results-driven and detail-oriented professional to manage important academic assessment operations and ensure institutional excellence. This role involves leading data assessments across various programs within the College, developing strategies for continuous improvement, and securing academic accreditation. The ideal candidate will collaborate with faculty to provide actionable insights into curriculum assessment, student performance, faculty engagement, and academic outcomes, fostering a culture of academic success.


The Director of Assessment plays an exciting role in our academic community! This position involves managing scorecards, assessment plans, and program reviews to help us all succeed. You'll be diving into data from course surveys and metrics for both students and faculty, which is crucial for fostering student success. Plus, you’ll be the go-to person for Code of Conduct hearings, making sure we maintain a strong sense of academic integrity while creating a positive and supportive educational environment. Please note this Director of Assessment role is located at our main campus in Phoenix, AZ.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement assessment strategies for the College of Engineering & Technology ensuring the college has a comprehensive plan that aligns with HLC and accreditation criteria. 

  • Data collection and reporting specific to collegiate assessment which would include gathering analyzing, and reporting data to demonstrate institutional progress, compliance, and continuous improvement.  This also includes reporting instructional hour counts.

  • Work with leadership to use assessment findings to drive data-informed decision-making, strategic planning, and resource allocation to enhance student learning and institutional effectiveness. 

  • Support faculty through data-driven assessment insights, training, and best practices.

  • Troubleshoot and solve student academic requests.

  • Act as the primary liaison for Code of Conduct hearings, upholding academic integrity across the college.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you need:

  • BS degree in Technology, Engineering, or Business degree program.

  • Must pass pre-employment background investigation.

  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
