  • Instruction for our Spring Semester begins on January 5, 2026, and ends on April 26, 2026 – Final Course Grades are due on May 3, 2026

Course: Conflict and Negotiation
 

This course is designed to introduce the concepts and theories relevant to understanding conflict communication and the negotiation process. In this course, students are introduced to various elements of conflict and negotiation communication across a variety of contexts including interpersonal, organizational, and international. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to analyze power dynamics in relationships, identify conflict styles and tactics, and apply intervention techniques in contexts that are relevant to their future relationships and careers.

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

* Professional or Teaching experience required

  • PhD in Communication OR
    • Conflict Resolution
  • OR Master’s in Communication OR
    • Conflict Resolution
  • Exceptions may be granted to individuals with a Master’s in any field possessing either: 9 graduate credits in Communications and has substantial teaching experience
