As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction in an online format, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. Course Description: ECN-360: Intermediate Economics
This course focuses on microeconomic principles and techniques of analysis from the perspective of the firm and the study of the national economy. Topics include the costs of production, market structures, profit maximization, regulation and deregulation of business, labor markets, GDP and measures of economic well-being, national income accounting, the effects of business cycles, an overview of fiscal, monetary and supply side policies, and role of money, banks, and the Federal Reserve System in the United States.
Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
- Preferred: PhD Economics or Doctorate in a related business discipline
- AND Corporate or consulting experience.
- Minimum: Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with emphasis in economics or finance or Masters in Economics or Masters in Finance.
- Graduate degree from a regional accredited university with an AACSB accredited program or ACBSP accredited program or international equivalent.
