The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions provides indirect and direct support in the development and provision of instruction and student evaluation incorporating current teaching methodologies, technologies, and other trends that reflect advances in specific areas of the discipline associated with the individual’s teaching assignment. 

Grand Canyon University has an opening for Adjunct Health Care faculty members for a traditional online course, and we invite applications from individuals who are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with our Health Care students.

What you will do:

  • Provide program instruction, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline
  • Maintain compliance with requirements for program accreditation
  • Uphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession as well as the pillars of the University
  • Equip students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance, and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession
  • Participate in and/or support of the university program in all areas including an evident congruence with the philosophy and direction of the institution, and service to the community
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What you need:

  • Master's in Speech-Language Pathology OR a related field with 18 graduate credits in Linguistics.
  • 2 year’s professional experience using the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) required.
  • Those with a linguistics background will be given preference.
  • Previous professional experience teaching communication sciences and disorders at the postsecondary level is preferred.
  • Those with an active, current and unencumbered Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA and a State SLP license will be given preference.
  • We are currently hiring for the summer semester, 5/5/25-8/17/25.
  • While this class is online, we are looking for an AZ candidate.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Proficient in English, Grammar, and writing in APA format
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
