Adjunct Faculty - FNP Primary Care II - Evening Cohort Main Campus - College of Nursing and Health Care Professions
Shape the bright futures of Grand Canyon University students as an adjunct faculty member for the traditional ground campus in the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions, which boasts a rich 30-year history providing outstanding health care and nursing degree programs. Students can earn their RN to BSN, or a master’s in nursing degree specializing in advanced patient care or in the emerging fields of health care administration, management, or public health.
As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. If you are highly motivated and passionate about teaching exceptional quality instruction in modern facilities with smaller class sizes, we’d like to hear from you.
Immediate part-time, Evening instructors (In Person, on the Main Campus) needed for FNP-654: FNP Primary Care II.
Only those in Phoenix and the surrounding areas will be considered. Must be willing to be on the Main Campus, 1 day a week (Mondays), from 5 PM- 8PM.
Class runs from 10/28/2021 - 03/02/2022 with a Holiday break , 1 evening per week, (Mondays) on the Main Campus. Must be available for 3 hours each Monday, from 5 PM-8 PM.
FNP-654: Family Primary Care II:
This course deepens its focus on the three levels of prevention and comprehensive primary care management of individuals with common, acute, and chronic conditions across the life span within a culturally and spiritually diverse environment. Learners integrate evidence-based research in the development of comprehensive, cost-effective, least invasive, quality health care. Care includes health promotion counseling, screening, and patient education to optimize patient and family health. Learners further advance their critical thinking and diagnostic reasoning skills to guide clinical decision making in the management of patient illness. Learners also further develop their competence in ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, prescribing pharmacological and nonpharmacological integrative healing therapies, collaborating with other health professionals and community agencies, and pursuing appropriate follow-up.
- Required: APRN - FNP and MSN Required. Preferred: Doctorate and APRN- FNP. Please specify your FNP on your resume.
- Please attach unofficial transcript reflecting conferred/awarded date.
- Nurses must maintain an active, current and unencumbered RN license. FNP license must be issued two year's prior to application date.
- 2 years professional FNP specific experience.
- Must hold ANCC or AANP (or similar) certification.
- Proficient in English, Grammar, and writing in APA format.
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
- Successfully pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.
