As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. Course Description: PSY-355 - Child and Adolescent Psychology
Students entering Child and Adolescent Psychology gain a more in-depth knowledge of development from conception through adolescence. Major theories of physical, motor, emotional, and social development of children are critiqued and analyzed. Students engage in learning about the developmental milestones, personality, language, moral development, typical and atypical behaviors, and learning and cognition. An emphasis on research methodology and interpretation is used to analyze the concepts in this class.
Must be available to teach a class on the below days and times - Spring semester begins on 1/7/2019
Monday, Wednesday and Friday's
8:25am - 9:35am
Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
- Minimum: Masters (or higher) in Psychology possessing 9 graduate credits in Child and Adolescent Psychology. Exceptions may be granted to individuals with a Masters in any field meeting two or more Exceptional Expertise criteria.
