Shape the bright futures of Grand Canyon University students as an adjunct faculty member for the traditional ground campus in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology .  Through hands-on, inquiry-based learning, the college provides an outlet for innovation and cross-disciplinary exposure. It also features pre-professional degrees in biology, alongside our degrees in information systems, and a forensic science and exercise science program.  

As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline.  If you are highly motivated and passionate about teaching exceptional quality instruction in modern facilities with smaller class sizes, we’d like to hear from you. 

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.  Other main responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Qualifications:

  • Masters (or higher) in Information Technology or related field.
  • All instructors must have 2-5 years experience as a network administrator/network engineer managing (configuring and installing) network infrastructures in small to midsize enterprises AND Must have a deep understanding of the OSI model. Preferred: Certified as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Proficient in configuring routers and switches and firewalls in LANs/WANs including the management of wireless networks and quality of service (QoS) and DMZs and VoIP/IP Phones.
  • -OR- Bachelors (or higher) in Information Technology or related field. All instructors must have 7 years experience as a network administrator/network engineer managing (configuring and installing) network infrastructures in small to midsize enterprises AND Must have a deep understanding of the OSI model. Proficient in configuring routers and switches and firewalls in LANs/WANs including the management of wireless networks and quality of service (QoS) and DMZs and VoIP/IP Phones. Preference given to individuals holding a current Cisco Certified Network Associate (or higher) certification. -OR- Bachelors (or higher) in non-related field. All instructors must have 10 years experience as a network administrator/network engineer managing (configuring and installing) network infrastructures in small to midsize enterprises AND Must have a deep understanding of the OSI model. Proficient in configuring routers and switches and firewalls in LANs/WANs including the management of wireless networks and quality of service (QoS) and DMZs and VoIP/IP Phones. Current industry certification required: Cisco Certified Network Associate (or higher) certification.
