Shape the bright futures of Grand Canyon University students as an online adjunct faculty member for the online division in the College of Fine Arts and Production, which offers programs in theatre, dance education , music education, digital design with specialization in animation and web design, and digital film with specializations in production or screenwriting.
As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction in an online format, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. DDN-430: Programming for the Web I:
- This course is an introduction to Web programming, Web server technologies, HTTP/HTTPS servers, Web security, PHP and ASP.net, and Unix/Linux open-source-based applications. Technology requirement: Students provide their own laptop and subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud. Additional programming tools will be assigned at the start of the course. Prerequisite: DDN-350.
Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.
- Minimum: Bachelors with Computer Science Certification or Bachelors with Programming/HTTP/HTTPS/PHP coursework AND industry experience AND approval by Dean or 2 years University instruction experience. Preferred: Masters or other terminal degree AND 2 years University instruction experience.
