Course Description: CHM-360L - Principles of Biochemistry - Lab
This laboratory course covers modern biochemical laboratory techniques and their theoretical foundations. Topics include methods for protein, nucleic acid, and lipid isolation and characterization; enzyme assays; chromatography; electrophoresis; and representing and manipulating proteins and nucleic acids. Experiments are designed for hands-on experimentation and students acquire practical techniques currently used in biochemistry laboratories.

Thursday's - 3:15pm 5:45pm
Thursday's - 7:00am - 9:30am
Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
- Minimum: Masters in a Chemical Science or Masters in a Biological Science or Masters of Medicine AND Must possess 9 graduate credits in biochemical study. Exceptions may be granted to individuals possessing a Masters in any field as long as they meet two or more Exceptional Expertise criteria. Preference given to individuals with a Doctorate.
