As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. Course Description: ITT-415: IT Business Case Planning for Global Enterprise:
- This course prepares students to plan and implement IT systems that take into account business realities, objectives, and constraints associated with domestic and international business activities. The course exposes the key computational, analytical, and decision-making tools used by businesses. Students also develop an understanding of the social, cultural drivers of successful IT investments, and their effect on business strategy and models. A special emphasis is placed on the symbiotic relationship between information technology and business and on international case studies, as manifested in information pricing, technological lock-in and network effects. Prerequisite: CST-326 or BIT-415 or CYB-220.
Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
- Preferred: Certified as Project Management Professional (PMP) AND Demonstrated strong familiarity with project management and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions and decision support systems (DSS) and Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity and the concept of knowledge workers. Some business intelligence and/or business analytic and international project management experience. Minimum: Masters (or higher) in Business Administration or Masters (or higher) in Information Technology or Masters (or higher) in Computer Science or Masters (or higher) Computer Information AND 5 or more years experience in management or consulting or architect role driving IT and/or Information Systems strategy development and implementation.
