Through hands-on, inquiry-based learning, the college provides an outlet for innovation and cross-disciplinary exposure. It also features pre-professional degrees in biology, alongside our degrees in information systems, and a forensic science and exercise science program.
As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. Course Description: ENV-305 - Environmental Management and Sustainability
This course will introduce students to environmental management practices and sustainability practices.
Must be available to teach during the below days and times.
Spring Semester starts on January 7th, 2019 and ends on April 28, 2019.
Course runs on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 8:25am - 9:35am
Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
- Minimum: Masters (or higher) in a Biological Science with emphasis in Environmental Management/Natural Resource Management/Sustainability or Masters (or higher) in an Ecological Science with emphasis in Environmental Management/Natural Resource Management/Sustainability. Exceptions may be granted to individuals with a Masters in any field possessing extensive experience in Environmental Management or Natural Resource Management or Sustainability. Preference given to individuals with a Doctorate.
