Grand Canyon University’s Arena Events department is seeking part-time Guest Services Representatives to assist with Arena events and activities.  Working hours will be directly related to arena events and most likely be held in the evenings and on weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as an Ambassador of the University within the Arena environment.
  • Provide guests with a positive first impression of Grand Canyon University by offering superior, individualized customer service.
  • Scan tickets and assist guests; showing guests to their assigned seats.
  • Provide any additional information at the Guest Services Counter.
  • Enforce rules, including smoking policies and specific rules related to each event.
  • Respond to emergencies by involving supervisors when needed.
  • Appropriately handle guest problems and complaints up to the level where intervention by a supervisor is required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Operate as a team with the box office, security and arena operations groups.


Qualifications:

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Minimum one year experience in customer service environment.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Capable of demonstrating a positive, friendly and courteous personality.
  • Must be punctual and customer service oriented.
  • Responsible, trustworthy, and assertive.
  • Exhibit good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University
