Grand Canyon University’s College of Science, Engineering, and Technology is currently seeking an Engineering Project Coordinator.  The Project Coordinator reports directly to the Associate/Assistant Dean of the college who oversees the engineering programs.  The coordinator administers and coordinates tasks associated with the program including planning and organizing activities.  The Project Coordinator also assists the dean in activities related to, but not limited to, the operations of the programs.


Project Work: 

  • Establish a career development process for CSET students (interviewing, job shadowing, resume writing, job search, etc.) in conjunction with Career Services that CSET management can approve and implement
  • Establish and maintain a CSET management approved communication campaign with CSET vetted companies that is focused on establishing internship and hiring opportunities for graduates.
  • Research and explore various activities focused on preparing students for industry and professional certification exams and provide recommendations to CSET management which includes all resources needed to enact.
  • Track and report to CSET management performance of students during internships and first year work experiences.

Capstone Support

  • Develop a list of potential industry partnerships and church relationships for project management and capstone courses that CSET management can follow up and work with.
  • Identify, screen, and coordinate a list of potential non-paid external industry related employees that could participate in and help facilitate project management and capstone courses in conjunction with the course instructors and/or CSET management.
  • Develop industry fair for capstone project presentations.
  • Identify, a list of potential angel investors and venture capitalist to fund promising capstone projects

Marketing & Communication

  • Create newsletter to highlight student accomplishments that would be approved by CSET management and marketing.
  • Schedule, help advertise, and assist in arranging all logistics for events including conferences, award ceremonies, advisory board meetings, etc.
  • Interface with public relations and communications to create publications.
  • Create technical content for potential marketing pieces and review resulting products from the marketing department for final approval by CSET management.
  • Maintain web presence by coordinating blogs and updating events.
  • Work with marketing to create and maintain a strong national social media presence for students.

Additional responsibilities

  • Coordinate acquisition of hardware and software for students and staff.
  • Assist and support faculty advisors of societies and clubs
  • Assist with project management of curriculum development projects.
  • Develop documentation for accreditation and industry/professional certifications.
  • Assist in scheduling and arranging all logistics for professional development workshops and seminars for faculty.
  • Maintain relations with off-site administrators, faculty and students.
  • Work with colleagues at the department, college, and university levels.
  • Participate and/or support the university program in all areas.
  • Serve in the community.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required.  Candidates with technical (technology or engineering) background and/or industry experience is preferred.
  • Computer proficient with MS Office, internet, email and database software including ability to operate a keyboard and manipulate data; and a familiarity with office machines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain recordkeeping/databases systems, retrieve information and prepare reports, graphs, charts and metrics.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
