Courses:

BIT-445: Data Mining

This course covers basic concepts and techniques related to data mining. A key goal of the course is evaluating data in order to make business-related decisions. Use of selected industry tools to perform data mining is also addressed.

BIT-455: Current Topics in Business Analytics

This course builds upon the techniques and tools presented in prior courses in the program and focuses on how analytics are applied in contemporary organizations. Students use critical thinking skills to frame analytics problems, build and apply appropriate analytics models, and communicate relevant findings.

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom.
  • Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes.
  • Respond to students’ questions and emails within the established timeframes.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

What You Will Bring:

  • Minimum: Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or Masters in Information Systems
  • AND 5 or more years in combined data analytics and information systems experience
  • AND Strong background in statistics and model development needed (academic and/or industry background)
